Glad to hear that you are having follow up next week.

Since this is "doctor order", the interventions for the order should come from your doctor as well. This site, our members and our experts are not aware of your medical condition that is requiring this recommendation.

The doctor or his/her staff need to be providing you with the guidelines. I am sure if you call the office, 10-12 foods can be shared as a source that you should be including in your diet. You will also want to ask how much of the food to have on a daily basis to get the amount that the doctor feels is necessary for your condition.

Do not rely on this thread for the physician's input that you need. Call your doctor.

I have been given some information but it was over the phone. I will have an in depth doctor's appointment next week. I was trying to do some research on my own. I do not want to take supplements due to the associated risks. I was not sure if all meat, including fish, had creatine and was wondering about milk and milk products and eggs.

Uhm. I'm pretty sure just meat (and fish). Other than that, your body synthesizes its own.

I know that some (i.e. bodybuilders) do take it in the form of supplements - but taking high amounts of creatine in the forum of supplements is not without risks!!!

I would think if your doctor is suggesting that you get more of it - your doctor should be giving you the associated information on HOW to get it. As well as continuing to monitor you, to ensure you don't end up with issues resulting from taking too much.

Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**
Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)

Due to a medical condition my doctor has recommended I increase my intake of creatine. Other than taking supplements, I am looking for a list of all foods that contain creatine. My doctor mentioned "Meat" but did not specify what type of meat i.e. red, white, chicken, fish. Are there other food groups that contain creatine?
