If you are a Diabetic then you need to be guided by your Registered Dietitian or Dr, but otherwise, there is no 'too much', other than sometimes the calories are more than most veges. Fruit and veges are a very large part of my diet, working the protein, healthy fats and other carbs around them.
SP doesn't have a 'cleanse phase' - it is merely about a healthy lifestyle and wise choices MOST of the time. What is suggested is gradually making changes to your nutrition and exercise. Start with one or two changes and when your mind/body has gotten used to those changes, add something else to the mix.
