weekdays, I have a cereal bar before working out because I work out at 5 am, weekends I have a full breakfast and workout about an hour later. I usually drink a protein shake after working out.

I usually workout after work, before dinner. So I'll have a bit of cottage cheese or yogurt right when I get home with some water and usually don't workout for 30-45 minutes after that. Then I'll have dinner after my workout.

Rarely, it'll make more sense for me to eat dinner pre workout due to timing. But then I have to wait awhile to exercise and end up doing a lighter cardio workout or ST. I'm not one to be able to do high intensity right after eating.

It depends what time I'm working out and what type of workout I'm doing. Apples/bananas/carrots with PB is usually a pretty good go-to for any type of workout. If I'm just doing ST though I'm ok with eating closer to meal-sized portions before since I'm not doing intense cardio.

I like to have a serving of fruit with some Greek yogurt and a little granola on top, usually before working out. And after I like to have a mini whole wheat bagel with either cream cheese or peanut butter, depending on what I'm craving, and maybe some milk. My pre- and post-workout snacks/meals are usually interchangeable though. It tends to be my breakfast, and I just split it into 2 meals. Smoothies are great for this too.

last night I had mini-wheats and milk pre workout, but that was unusual. Normally, I don't eat pre-workout. I just can't. If I'm exercising after work, I'll try to have a snack at about 3pm, usually fruit and meat, but sometimes just a chocolate milk.

Afterwards, I try to do something carb + protein. More often it's 1/2 a smoothie I share with my husband. Or dinner.
