Well, I think that the concern is that if you drink too much you can throw off your body's salts and electrolytes.
I tend to drink about 14 glasses a day, especially in the summer if I am exercising a lot. My neuroendocrinologist advised me to drink some diluted Gatorade when I am doing my most intense exercising. I had always avoided these types of products, but apparently they have their place. I fill a 4-cup bottle 1/3 with ice, 1/3 with filtered water and 1/3 low-calorie G-2. This has really helped me with dizziness.
