The main supplements I take are fish oil, and vitamin D3, aiming for a testing level above 50ng/ml.

A bit ago I was just looking at a sign up seminar with Dr. Hollick as the guest speaker. He's to talk about the differences between taking vitamin D3 supplements verses sunshine exposure. I've read that a few other beneficial substances are created, outside of vitamin D3, in the skin when outdoors in the sun.

Keep in mind that supplements are the #1 thing found in the sewer systems, meaning they often go right through you. If you do purchase them, make sure you are very hydrated prior to swallowing them! I myself was taking D3, but then I found that one capsule is the equivalent of 10 minutes in the sun. I'd rather step outside then spend the $13.99/month. I also take Biotin for hair/nail growth and cranberry for urinary health because I dislike the juice. :)

I used to take fish oil pills, but they messed with my stomach so now I just take a regular multi vitamin - formulated for women and a vitamin D pill

Flintstones Chewable with Iron, because they don't pass straight through me like large hard vitamin pills do. They get absorbed.

I take Calcium which I don't add, and Vitamin D (the long-term once a month one) and don't put that in my tracker, either. I also take 8,000mg Omega-3 Fish Oil, and DO put that in because 80 calories daily, unaccounted for, could take me back to weight-gain, and also my fat intake is generally very low, so that is 8 grams extra accounted for putting my intake into the healthy range.

I use to track them but now just take them. C,D, fish oil, calcium and B complex. I added them in food groups in the food tracker.

Many supplements have already been added to the nutrition tracker, so yours may already be there.

If not, you can add your supplement as you would a new food. Then with a click you can add it to your tracker on the days you take it.

I have some medical issues that we don't know the cause of, so my docs have asked me to take Vitamins D and B12 supplements. They've asked me to track them, along with the amounts of those vitamins that I get in food, so we can accurately see my intake and judge what impact it has on me and my issues.

I'd much rather get my nutrition from food alone, so wouldn't otherwise supplement at all. If it weren't for the medical issues, I wouldn't bother to track them.

Afraid of a colonoscopy? Believe me - they are much less frightening than surgery and chemotherapy.

Colonoscopies allow polyps to be removed before they can become cancer, or let cancers be found before they are too widespread. If you are 50 or older, or have any symptoms, please don't let fear stop you from covering your butt.

Get checked!
