I just started Optifast 70 last week. I'm doing ok, except I'm traveling for work, so it's a bit more difficult. I'm supposed to have 5 shakes a day, but yesterday I had 2 shakes, and then I had dinner with some work associates. I didn't make the best choices, but I'm back on track today. I will make better choices tonight with grilled chicken over lettuce and FF dressing. : )
I'm excited to be doing this plan. I like the fact that I get to work with a doctor and nutritionist during this journey. I have gained 82 lbs. over the past 12 years. I took 20 lbs. off with Jenny Craig Jan-March of this year. I kept it off, and now I'm ready to take another 70 lbs. off! The shakes actually gave me an energy boost. I wrote down exactly what I ate 24 hours before I started the program, and....man....I was eating like crap! I can't believe my body didn't collapse from not getting the nutrition it needs! The 1 thing that I implemented back in January of this year that I'm still sticking to is giving up fast food. I have not had a fast food burger since January 18th! : ) I do occassionally go through the drive-thru to get my Diet Coke, but I have no more cravings for the greasy hamburger or breakfast sandwiches! I plan to stick to that for the rest of my life. : )
