I love kefir and a half cup of the brand I use is only 70 calories, so I drink that when I want a light snack.

Also I like a brand of ultra thin cut Swiss cheese that is 120 calories for three slices and 2.5 slices makes a 100 calorie snack that I enjoy.

Water packed tuna in a pouch: 80 calories for the whole pouch.

The brand of whey powder I use in water to supplement protein makes a nice snack at 90 calories.

Lots more.

Resolved in 2014 to remain below 120!

1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese, mixed with one packet stevia and a sprinkle of cinnamon
Apple, diced up and mixed in with cottage cheese...more cinnamon on top.

I'm on Weight Watchers and the apple is "free", so this snack is equivalent to 100 calories.

I personally like the Laughing Cow Lite cheeses, especially the ones like Garlic & Herb that have a little more flavor. If you eat one of those (35 calories) with 4 pieces of melba toast (Old London brand, 60 calories for 4 rounds) you have a 95 calorie snack with a lot of flavor.

I do a portion of fruit that is less than a hundred calories or cut up vegetables. I also like the 100 calorie packs of almonds or yogurts

Cinnamon helps with digestion and in moderation you might find ginger is one of the best foods for acid reflux...also celery with fat free cream cheese....

Graham crackers should not cause reflux....nor should puffed rice

Maybe eat more alkaline foods to stave off the reflux and yogurt because of the good bacteria. Get Fage Yogurt 0% plain as this has the least amount of sugar than any yogurts I have found. Bananas, apples, and pears are low acids fruits. Cucumbers are alkaline and about 45 calories each. Saltines can soak up acid

Avoid chocolate, fried foods, alcohol...and please consult your medical professional for guidance....

I'm not sure what foods would upset your acid reflux but portabella mushrooms are great. A huge 140g PB is around 35 cals. If you want to added shredded parmesan, that's around 20 cals. They are super filling and satisfying.

Egg white omelettes with veggies. I usually put a pre-cooked sweet potato, onion and mushrooms. Also very satisfying. Mine are usually around 90 cals. I use 1/3 cup egg whites.

I also make homemade frozen Greek yogurt (nice summer treat). You can make them for around 100 cals. 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt, a serving of dry sugar-free instant pudding mix, 1/3 cup almond milk. You can add a bit of fruit or fruit juice for flavour but you don't have to. I do nut butter sometimes but that might put you over. Just put it in your freezer about 2-3 hours before you plan on eating it and stir it up every 30 mins so it doesn't crystallize.

Take your focus off the Marshmallow.

"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. If you don't want to get bulky, lift heavy!

I can bench Nicole Richie, eat more than she does in a day before noon, I have a good 20 lbs on her but could still wear her pants.

Can you have yoghurt? A dollop of sugar free/high protein yoghurt with some fresh blueberries is a great lowish calorie snack.

Lately I have been snacking on dried codfish. A small bowl of 30g is just under 100 calories from almost pure protein. But I guess that is an odd thing to eat, still I find it very tasty (chewy and savory) and filling.

Hi - I see from your SparkPage that you have Ulcerative Colitis - this may impact a bit on your choice of food, as well. I may be that you need to even out your calories throughout the day, and allow for a wee bit more filling snack late evening, as opposed to some ice cream, even tho' it has no sugar added. Would a piece of mashed banana and 2-3 spoons of yoghurt do the trick? I find that they help me, and can also help with the Acid burn.

You might find it helpful to ask your Dr for a referral to a Registered Dietitian, because you have Ulcerative Colitis and Acid Reflux - both of which impacts on what you eat.

Good luck,
Kris
