Definitely do a work up for PCOS - although there isn't really a set blood test to say "Hey, you got this" It is diagnosed more by eliminating all other scenarios.
Do a lot of research before going into the doctor and see if you have other symptoms. Explain your concern. If they blow it off - FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! I cannot stress that enough. I had a doctor basically ignore it for years and I was a dang wreck.
One website that REALLY helped me in the beginning was soulcysters (I think it is .net, but don't remember. Google should be able to find it)
Just remember that you are not alone. 1 in 10 women have PCOS even if they are undiagnosed.
If you are interested, I think there is a team here specifically for women with PCOS trying to lose weight. I am not a member, but it might help if you ask your question there, too
