To force myself to stay hydrated, I set a discreet timer at work (I'm a student worker/secretary) to remind myself to refill my water bottle and use the restroom. It also gives me a chance to stretch my legs and wake up. If I have not finished my water for the hour, I do so. I work eight hours a day during the summer, so I stay hydrated! (And somehow I'm still thirsty when I get home, so I drink more water.)
If I don't want water, I brew herbal tea, which has no caffeine to act as a laxative/dehydrator. I limit my caffeine intake to a cup or two of tea or coffee in the morning, to help me wake up. Herbal tea tastes so good! Especially mint tea, which I can chill in the refrigerator overnight. The next day, it is so refreshing.
Thought I'd share my way of staying hydrated, and maybe give someone else an idea. The more, the merrier!
