I make egg mcmuffins quite often (my son loooves them), they are so fast to do, you don't need a special appliance - or a tuna can!
1. split muffin, drop in toaster.
2. warm up small non-stick frying pan, add a touch of butter, pam, olive oil, whatever...
3. crack in the egg, use an edge of the eggshell to bust the yolk.
4. peel a slice of processed cheese.
By this point, the muffin is popping up from the toaster. Drop the cheese on there. Now the egg is ready to flip. Flip, then slide onto the muffin, folding it over to make it fit.
Sometimes I add a strip of pre-cooked bacon from a package i keep in the freezer, or perhaps some deli ham. This adds 10 seconds to the process.
It takes all of 3 minutes and makes virtually no mess - quick rinse of the frying pan, that's it.
If i were going to get a special sandwich making appliance i'd get a panini press - more versatile.
Goal 1 - break 200 (46 pounds lost)**DONE**
Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**
Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)
