Well, for starters, I'm not a fan of Dr. Hyman. I don't care for his gung-ho anti-everything stance.
Additionally, this is talking about the food pyramid. The updated guidelines, the food plate, de-emphasizes milk, and talks more about protein, grains, and fruits/veggies.
I honestly am not up-to-date on the latest science. I enjoy milk, but I prefer not to drink my milk. I have a cup of lactose-free milk at bed time most nights to reduce acid reflux and help me sleep. I do, however, love cheese, and they could tell me tomorrow that cheese will give me foot cancer, and I'll keep on eating it. You gotta have vices. ;)
