We need better labeling. We eat almost 200 lbs of sugar a year each.
Buying foods by single ingredients helps some. If you have an ingredient that is unpronounceable, good chance it is sugar. It takes more work, but by combining whole foods to make the dish, instead of buying the processed version will cut down on both salt and sugar intake, but you still won't be able to track it all. It's why America is fat, while thinking they are eating healthy.
