3 years ago I had acute pancreatitis and recovered from it mainly by sticking to a strict diet. Now I have a mild attack and want to go back on a strictre diet to manage it. Unfortunately I have lost those diet sheets.
I do remember that I was eating
- hardly any sugar
- lots and lots of fiber, all kinds of legumes
- no artificial spices (have stopped those from that time anyway)
- no sodas, juices or coffe, mainly water, herbal tea & black tea
- no added fat
- only chicken or fish twice a week with fat trimmed off
- plain yoghurt
Does anyone know what else I need to pay attention to and what I should and what i shouldn't eat. I would be thankful for more ideas.
