This is a silly question, but I want to make salmon patties tonight. I do not have canned salmon, but I do have frozen fillets that I moved to the refrigerator this morning before leaving.
How would one go about cooking a salmon fillet to use in a salmon patty?
A recipe I looked up that used fresh salmon in a salmon patty didn't say anything about cooking it beforehand. Isn't canned salmon already cooked?
