yes, there is a tool to convert, but I can only find it in the old tracker version, not the new one. It adds time to make the conversion when all it takes is adding the choice to the serving/weight choice in the first place.

Yes I find that a little frustrating too. Although there is the handy conversion tool provided by Sparkpeople. But while I'm on the topic, it would be great if that tool also included a kilojoule-to-calorie converter! 90% of food labels in Australia only show energy in kJ.

I don't think that is the reason - they give choices for grams or lbs. I have asked a few times about getting the option to use mls, too. It would make it a ton easier for those of us who use metrics, and there really ARE lots of us who do!

That's because this site is headquartered in the US, and we still cling to the imperial system for measuring volume. We buy gasoline in gallons and cream in pints, and it's hard to find measuring cups with milliliter markings. Since 90% of Americans don't have any idea how much 240ml is, there's not much point in including that option.

The metric system is gaining ground for measuring weight, though, because the smallest common imperial weight unit is the ounce, and that's too big. You always have the option of weighing your custom foods in grams.
