shakes, fruit and veggie, if you can take protein, add protein powder. Veggie stir fry, using Quinoa. Quinoa is a grain with protein, and can be used for breakfast as a cereal, topped with fresh fruit

I agree with the previous poster. Your doctor and/or registered dietitian are the best people to answer these questions based on your specific medical condition.

Good luck!

I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with this.

I think it would be best to talk with your Dr - IF you are on blood thinners, then odds are there are some foods that you are best avoiding. If you are able to get out of bed, perhaps asking for a referral to a Dietitian will be helpful.

Good luck, and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Just wondering if anyone had any guidelines how to ammend my caloric intake for weightloss while basically bedridden. Recently diagnosed with severe blood clotting in my brain I am not allowed to do any exercise for 2 months, which means no chance to burn calories. Ive been told that I cant do anything, but am concerned with weight gain. Ideally Id like to lose weight, I just need help with a caloric guideline as how to lose whilst been inactive.
Any tips would be much appreciated
