The anti-cholesterol pseudoscience that was first postulated in the 1950 is going to keep going on spreading misinformation for decades more. The cholesterol in food and the 'blood cholesterol' measurement aren't even the same thing. Please eat your eggs and feel no guilt whatsoever about it. The damage that that research did and the biased research that has spent the last 60 years trying to verify it has been hurtful to many more people than any egg has been. It was the same garbage research that had us all eating trans fats in our margarine instead of eating butter back in the 1970s.
Eggs are so very much better for you than an equivalent total calorie content of pasta, bread, rice. Those more carby foods are nutrition wastelands that leave you needing more of everything to get your vitamins while eggs are a great and healthy food. And yet, most conventional dieters are all worried about their egg (and butter) consumption while not even thinking twice about putting good foods between two slices of sugar....um, I mean bread. I really mean it....if you sit down to a meal with with 70 calories of rice on the side or one egg mixed in which do you think is the healthy choice? I think it is news to lots of people that the correct answer is the one with the egg!
