Let me preface this that I've never been much of a breakfast eater, I usually eat a small one when I get to work at 9. I've never had a problem with it before, I usually do not feel hungry at all until I get to work.
So, this morning after I got up I was feeling not OK throughout getting ready... sort of queasy and lightheaded. I've never had that happen before. I opted to eat a small piece of cornbread on my way out the door (the only thing I had handy) and drank a diet coke on my hour drive into work, and now I'm feeling better. Also, I ate plenty of calories yesterday...more carbs than I would have liked and normally have but still well within my ranges for all nutrients. I went over my max calories (1800) by 20. Also had plenty of protein (128 grams) and fiber (27g). I was also in my ranges in previous days too.
Could the extra carbs from yesterday have caused a freaky blood sugar spike? I would have thought that would have occured earlier than 10 hours after eating though. I usually try to stick to 200 or less, yesterday was 242.
So my question is, has anybody else ever randomly felt this way? Is it just a fluke because our bodies can be weird sometimes?
