There's nothing inherently wrong with eating before bedtime. I mean, if you aren't going over your calorie range or stuffing your face with tons of junk food, you're not going to hurt anything by eating before bed.
On the other hand, if you truly aren't hungry and you're just eating for the sake of it, well, I understand wanting to conquer that. I don't really have any great advice, because I am a bedtime snacker and I deliberately save calories so I can have my bedtime snack every evening. :) I just wanted to point out that IMO, staying between 1200 and 1500 calories is amazing, even if you aren't eating "perfectly"-- the low end of my range is 1530 so I can't imagine eating down close to 1200 every day.
