Of course you can lose weight by eating Lean Cuisine. Honestly you can lose weight eating anything as long as you burn more calories than eat. However, it's better to stick to unprocessed whole foods!

Can you be a little more specific about what you mean, and give a little information about yourself?

Basically, Lean Cuisine is just a brand of food. By itself, it won't cause or prevent weight loss. It can be PART of a weight loss program. You'll get different opinions about whether it's "good for you" or not, because "good for you" depends on who "you" are. As other posters have already said, it's a whole lot better than a Big Mac. If you're just starting out on trying to get away from fast food and junk food, then it's a good choice, especially if you buy a bag of frozen veggies for every four Lean Cuisines and add the veggies to the tray before you heat it up. I think Lean Cuisine and similar meals are good teaching/learning tools-- you learn what a portion looks like and get some ideas of what foods can be made low in calories. Then later on you can figure out ways to make your own, even healthier recipes.

If, on the other hand, you've been eating pretty well but you find it inconvenient to make lunches, you might want to look into batch cooking and other options for making your own healthy food more convenient.

Lean Cuisine has too much sodium for me, and I feel gross after eating one. If you're looking for a convenient lunch you should try this quinoa salad, it's easy to make, and you can keep it in your fridge for up to four days. It completely fills me up. The serving size on the recipe is a bit off, I find that it makes 8 servings, not 4. http://www.canadianliving.com/food/quinoa_and_chickpea_salad_with_tomato_vinaigrette.php

I use to eat Lean Cuisine meals several times a week for lunch as it was quick and easy to do at work, but then I realized how much sodium was really in those and decided it's not worth it. I can cook better and healthier meals at home and just reheat them at work. At least I know what goes into my meals.

It would be better to learn to make your own food and portions, but we all have to start somewhere.

If your options were a Lean Cuisine or a Big Mac. I daresay the Lean Cuisine is a better option.

I'm suspecting you COULD lose weight by consuming them; however, on a personal basis, I would rather make my own meal and take it.

Then I would get the ingredients and the proportions I want; without all the added preservatives.
However, if it's the best you can do; fill the gap with them occasionally.
Supplement with a nice salad and/or fruit for dessert, though, to get more nutrition.

I don't like lean cuisines as they provide less calories but also less food! I am still hungry after I have finished the meal!

If eating a lean cuisine provides less calories for a meal than normal for a person it would equal some amount of weight loss. In my opinion they are not a healthier choice.

I'll eat them for lunch at work. My weight loss is from eating healthy portions and exercising, not any one line of food.

if you're just starting out and need to work on portion control, then lean cuisines are a great option and tool. previous posters are correct that pairing them with some fruit or vegetables is a great way to make them a better option, you do need to watch the sodium in them as well, and working towards making your own frozen meals is a great long term goal.
so while they aren't the end all, be all of food, they can be a very helpful starting place for many people.

-google first. ask questions later.

You mean like with lean cuisine as your only meal source? I would never do that. There simply isn't enough food in those frozen meals for me.

I think a better question would be, has anyone lost weight AND kept it off eating Lean Cuisines?

I think learning how prepare and cook your own healthy meals is key to losing and maintaining weight loss.

You can lose weight with Lean Cuisines or any other of those type of meals. I think you should watch the sodium intake, though, and supplement with additional vegetables or fruit.
