For those things that you cannot control, the only part of it that you CAN control is your attitude. Sounds like you've got a good one!!
Baby steps, one thing at a time. If you have many changes to make, can you turn them into short-, medium- and long-term goals? That might be a workable plan. And doing it that way, maybe it wouldn't feel so overwhelming?
