As MISSRUTH pointed out there are many protein sources other than meat.
Anyways, try this recipe... absolutely amazing. I use egg whites and fresh salmon (broiled) in mine with sweet potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms or onions. I've also made it with crab flavoured pollock (although the sodium was a bit high for my liking). You can make it the night before and then just reheat it if you want.
