Thank you for the replies!
I don't mind the basa fish. It doesn't taste like fish, and I use some tasty herbs on it as well. I need to work on dealing with the texture of fish. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not like chicken! I would really like to get white fish in though, I find the pink fish is the strong tasting ones.
I did buy some shaved light turkey breast and lettuce and plan to make wraps with it. I'm trying to avoid bread, rice, potatoes, and pasta. Pasta is my absolute favorite and I can't stand the taste of the whole wheat pastas. I haven't had any in over a week, but I definitely plan to at least limit myself and continue to make my own sauces.
I have spinach, kale, strawberries, and blueberries I plan to make smoothies with as well. And bought a couple cucumbers to add to my water, among other things like salads, etc. I also bought a sweet onion salad dressing. Low in calories, fats, etc. It was actually healthier than the balsamic vinaigrette and I know I like it.
I will see what suits me best when it comes to how often to eat, thank you. I do know there are a lot of things I need to work on, and that eating healthier isn't everything. I have a hard time feeling motivated to exercise even 30 minutes a day. I do walk my son to the bus and pick him up from the bus, 4 blocks total, but it really doesn't feel like nearly enough.
I ended up feeling hungry last night around 11pm and decided to eat simply because I wanted the hunger feeling to return. I dropped about 5lbs during the 2 days of not eating. Not healthy at all.
Anyway, thank you all again for the tips and advice!!
My children are my motivation!
