Can you identify where the craving came from?
Like: did you go too long without eating and you just want to inhale the world? I always crave BAD things first when I let this happen. So: try not to let this happen.
Did you see an ad on TV? Definitely, try to re-direct for this one. Wait, try a different activity, or substitute something better.
Did you see something in the cupboard? Don't keep junk in the house, or keep it well out of sight.
Are you bored? Get un-bored without turning to food.
Are you upset? Definitely use your energy to make a good spark people recipe. It's constructive, you have time to think while your hands are busy, and you have a nice treat at the end.
Sometimes you won't know why, you just WANT something. Sometimes it's OK to just HAVE something. Portion control though: share a desert at a restaurant or put 2 cookies on a plate and walk away, don't sit on the couch with the bag.
