It is somewhat disconcerting, isn't it?
I bought a new digital scale, too, about 6 weeks ago --- if I use my old analog scale, then I'm 5 lbs less than what I show on the new digital one (and I would be 30 lbs down already, dagnabit!).
I'm going with the same thought process that you are though - as long as there is a general downward trend, then the actual number doesn't really matter. Besides, I fluctuate between 5 and 7 lbs per day (I spent a few days weighing at all different times, just out of curiousity) so there's no point in me worrying about one number. I'm sure liking the trend, though!
I hope you like the ease of reading on the digital as much as I do - it's soooo much easier to see!
Afraid of a colonoscopy? Believe me - they are much less frightening than surgery and chemotherapy.
Colonoscopies allow polyps to be removed before they can become cancer, or let cancers be found before they are too widespread. If you are 50 or older, or have any symptoms, please don't let fear stop you from covering your butt.
