These past few days I find myself waking up around 3-4 am and I am absolutely starving. I usually go to bed around 10-11 pm and I wake up a 7 am. I have been eating within my calorie range and I never feel hungry when I go to bed.
I really do not want to develop a bad habit of waking up in the middle of the night to eat. When I wake up and I'm laying in bed absolutely starving I allow myself to eat a small yogurt (35-50 calories) or a rice cake with peanut butter (80-100 calories). I find that I wake up less hungry then normal on the nights I wake up to eat.
I am not exercising harder or more intensely than usual. If anything I have added an extra rest day into my workout schedule so I am only working out 4 times a week. I also have been less active in my daily life the past couple of weeks (feeling a bit lazy, worn down and cranky).
Does anyone else find that they have difficulty sleeping through the night due to hungry? It is REALLY disrupting my sleeping schedule and making me more tired since I spent time debating to get out of bed and eat and have trouble falling back to sleep after I have eaten.
