I think one should learn to eat when one is hungry because that's how our bodies are designed. BUT I trained myself to eat small portions by scheduling small meals and snacks at certan intervals to help me avoid binge eating, which was a habit for many, many years. Now my body does give me hunger cues. I do still sometimes eat just because it's snack time or just because I've scheduled it in advance because I know it's a danger zone, but I'm usually hungry for it.
I agree with doing what works. Ideally we would all pay attention to our bodies, but for those of us who abused our bodies by eating way outside of bounds, it sometimes takes time to train our bodies to work for us now. So no, not bad, but I encourage you to learn to let yourself feel hunger and deal with it in a healthy way because that's really the way your body is designed and would be a good ultimate goal. JMO.
