I love weighing my food, it is far, far more accurate than measuring.
I bought an inexpensive Taylor brand scale at Target. It is digital- I tried the spring one and it broke after just a few uses. It cost around $17-20.
If you care to spend a bit more, some restaurant supply stores will carry the really, really nice ones that you see in deli. They are super accurate and heavy duty. Since I only cook for me, I didn't get one, but if you cook for a family or make really large batches of food regularly, that might be the scale to go for. The ones I saw ran between $50-150.
Best of luck!
