I've been eating vegan for a week now and I love it! I've never been much into meat. Yogurt and cheese were more difficult but I've already fallen in love with almond milk and cultured coconut milk instead of yogurt.
The most important question is about "detoxing". A few days into eating completely vegan I had a spell where I felt downright awful, and it takes something for me to say that. I was nauseated and had such bad fatigue and headache that I could barely keep my eyes open. I had just eaten and gone jogging in the previous hours and felt fine! I feel it's too soon for any protein or B 12 deficiency. If I can force myself to eat, that seems to help.
I experienced the same thing for several hours the next two nights at varying times. Today it was fever/chills.
I assumed it was detoxing but my diet hasn't changed as drastically as you may think.
Are these kind of "detox" symptoms normal?
Am I missing something?
I really want to continue on my vegan path, as I am learning and trying new things everyday.
Thanks for the help it is vry appreciated!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7
You are what you THINK. You are what you eat.
