I'd love to know what other members think about fasting.....how often, how long, benefits. I know there are a lot of reasons people fast including health, beliefs, spirituality etc. I used to fast once a week for 24 hours no food, no water. This was like 10 years ago. I remember feeling absolutely amazing during this time. I did exercise regularly, even on the day I fasted, and who knows, maybe I felt so good just because I was younger, I dunno, but it seemed there was a correlation...
Anyway, I haven't fasted in awhile, maybe out of laziness or from being so BUSY that it is hard to think of being able to go without food for awhile but I just wanted to ask if anybody else uses a regular schedule, and if anyone has any other guidelines they follow. I do know that if you fast too much your body will go into starvation mode and it will negatively impact your health. So I was just .wondering if anyone else had any advice/opinions on fasting in a healthy way for a healthy adult.
