I weigh every single morning. I write it down in my day calendar every day, just so I can look back and see patterns. Saturdays I record it here on Sparkpeople. I've lost 1-2 pounds every week since I started, usually it is 2 pounds.

I like your idea of checking daily, but recording less often. You'll be able to look at the written numbers to see what's actually happening vs. what could be water weight, etc, etc. I like it!

For me, I generally also weigh daily. Often, I don't weigh on the weekends...or sometimes I'll forget during the week. I pretty much only write it down though if I'm LESS than the previous weight (no matter how long it's been). Right now I JUST hit my lowest weight since this last pregnancy this morning (for the second time). The last time I recorded this number was November 22nd....and i had no higher numbers recorded in-between. ;) Hoping tomorrow will be even less by an ounce or two so that I can record a new number.

I should noted that I do generally track in SP daily - or have been since I've really started using Spark again...the past few weeks. I like to see the grid and where I fall...it just seems to help with motivation.

I record weight once a week and measurements on the 1st of every month. My New Year's resolution was to stop weighing myself multiple times a day (I tend to get obsessed) So my aim was for once a week. As of now - I am probably weighing 3-4 times a week. I'm getting there!

I weigh myself every day and record it when I've reached a new low. :) I know weight varies, but when I see that lower number, plotting it on my graph is a little incentive to keep pushing lower.

I weigh every day, but only record a loss if it has been for 2 consecutive days (my weight goes up and down)

I weigh a few times weekly (two or three) and record usually once.

I'm another one who weighs daily but only records if I reach a new low weight. I tend to hit a new low and then bounce up again for a few days. I feel like the little bounces up are just water, and to document them makes them feel more "real."

I weigh myself first thing every morning, but I generally only record 1x a week. For me, it helps me plan my food/exercise choices. If I see the number inching up, I know I need to dial back. And when I see it going down, I give myself a pat on the back and know I'm doing something right :)

I tried weighing myself every day but became way too frustrated. Your weight fluctuates up and down on a daily basis and so a gain would stress me out and make me give up. Now I weigh myself every other week and it works just fine. Sometimes I even weight in weekly just to check my progress.

I weight daily to make sure that it is in the same range if not lower. But I only record it on weight in day at sparkpeople on Tuesdays. That is the just the day I signed up and started.

Bloom, if you go to the weight/measurement tracker and only want to track your weight, just enter an amount for that measurement and ignore the others. It will track as much or as little information as you want, so you don't have to enter amounts for anything else if you don't want to.

Nothing on here helps me know how I can just record my weight. That is all I want to do. I follow the instructions but it does not work. All that comes up is for me to track my measurements. HELP

I weigh and record everyday. I'm a dork and I like seeing my fluctuations on a report (especially during my monthly cycle and/or leading up to it). I measure once a week though.

I weigh every morning, no exceptions - but I only write it down if I've lost weight, even if just 0.1 lb. So I might write it down every day for 4 days and then not write down anything for 2 weeks. I started doing this after years of recording daily. I just wanted a change. I've been doing this for so long now that I need to mix it up once in a while.

I track my weight loss in a notebook. I weigh daily but don't track it.....if I was gaining....I would record that.

I weigh usually 1-3 times a week and record once (on Mondays). I'm curious why you're thinking of recording twice a month if you're weighing yourself daily? (Not that there's anything wrong with that choice, just wondering.)

I weigh myself daily but I only record it once a week, on Fridays (since that's when it tends to be lowest haha). I find it easier to heat healthy and lower in sodium on weekdays, so that's why Fridays work out well for me.

I weigh myself every day and record it in my day planner.

I am very interested to see how different things affect my body from food to exercise.

I use my weight on Sunday as a guideline for the week. The weight that you see on my tracker is what I weighed on Sunday.

it is a matter of personal preference.

How often do you record your weight? I am just curious. I am thinking of recording it only 2x a month as opposed to 4x a month.

what do you guys think?

btw -i'll still be weighing myself mostly daily
