If they drank water on the Biggest Loser to gain weight and throw a weigh-in, it would only work temporarily-- your body is going to flush out the excess water and it'll be pee-d away. I can weigh myself, drink 2 glasses of water, and then step on the scale again.... and of course, I'd weigh more simply because the water was still in my stomach. It has to be absorbed into my system, travel around my body, get to my kidneys, through the bladder, and then come out. Which takes some time but isn't really "gaining weight".
Like a pp mentioned, your urine should be a pale yellow. I don't think you're in any danger, with how much water you're drinking.
