I agree with the people that said Cheerios. The original are always good, and the multigrain are just a little sweet, and with the addition of blueberries and/or strawberries just makes it even better!

I also have a box of Kashi Cinnamon Crumble, which I thought was waaay too hard to eat. But then I mixed a little with a container of yogurt and let it sit a few minutes. It softened just enough to eat, but not too much.

I love Cheerios, but they don't have much fiber and an hour after eating a bowl of Cheerios, I'm ready for lunch. I really like Kashi Go Lean with a banana. The other Kashi cereals are really good too, but a little higher in calories. I like oatmeal in all forms too, but I need a little more protein than that in the morning.

I'm glad you posted this, I'm also always on the look out for good cereals too.

I love old fashioned oats with fresh strawberries. The strawberries add sweetness. I also enjoy Honey Bunches of Oats (all different kinds) and Kashi cereals.

Honey bunches of oats I love!! They have a few different version with nuts like pecans, almonds, and fruit type ones. My favorite is with almonds, theres crunch and sweetness from the honey isnt overkill either.

I like Kashi Cinnamon Harvest, which is like shredded wheat. It's also a little sweet. Also Kashi Strawberry Fields is relatively low in calories and delicious!

What about mixing your brown sugar mini wheats with plain mini wheats? You could start out with a mix that's 3/4 brown sugar and 1/4 plain, and then work your way down so eventually you're eating more plain than brown sugar. I did this with oatmeal (went from eating apple cinnamon and other flavors to plain), and after a month or two, I found myself enjoying the taste of plain oats.

You could also try mixing a plainer cereal with fresh berries - the berries will add sweetness, but probably still have less sugar than the brown sugar mini wheats.

I've been eating brown sugar mini wheats every morning for a month because they're so tasty and full of fibre, but I need something that comes with a little less sugar.

Can anyone recommend a cereal that is lower in sugar, but doesn't taste like cardboard?
