One of my go-to breakfasts (or lunch) that keeps me satisfied for quite a long time is "Birchir Muesli" - basically you take a serving of plain yogurt (a gelatin-free brand), a quarter cup of raw rolled oats, and a grated or finely chopped apple, mix together, let sit for awhile (if using quick oats, half an hour will do - or make ahead the night before and toss in the fridge overnight). You can add sugar or splenda, a few raisins, a few nuts or pumpkin seeds, other fruits, spices like cinnamon or nutmeg, and you can thin it down with a bit of milk if preferred.
It is better than it sounds!!!! In fact i find it very delicious and the combination of fruit/grain/dairy really has some sticking power.
