I bought some flax seed the other day, thinking I could incorporate it into meals for healthy fats (I have some issues with certain fats and am wanting to try these out to see if they don't upset me), but I purchased WHOLE flax instead of the ground stuff. All the recipes I know of call for ground flax and also say to limit how much of it you eat raw because of some chemical that can be toxic.
I have heard people say to grind them with a coffee grinder, but I don't drink coffee. I do have a very mini food processor. Will that work?
Also, is it OK to have a tbsp raw with yogurt or something?
Thanks in advanced!
