Welcome to Sparkpeople and congratulations on starting a journey to a smaller, more healthy you.
We have had this post before and if you want to take a multivitamin, go ahead an take one. But there is NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that any supplement on the market actually works. Since supplements don't have to stand up to strict FDA guidelines, manufacterers and promoters can say just about anything about their products. It is all marketing and advertising focused on people desperate to see results.
If you read the fine print, you will see a disclaimer that often reads something like "best results seen when taken in conjunction with a low calorie diet and regular exercise." If you are doing all of that, then what do you need the supplement for?
Do yourself a favor, save your money and skip the pills. Unless you have a specific medical condition for which your doctor prescribed a dietary supplement, skip it. Eat right, exercise and keep a positive attitude.
Good luck to you on your journey and again, welcome to Sparkpeople.
Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels and looks.
