Thank you for your suggestions! I went today and got some Stevia and honey to try. I don't add a lot to the coffee/tea...usually just 1/2 tsp. I will try to start cutting back on that too over the next few weeks. emoticon emoticon

I don't add sweetener to coffee, sometimes I use a teeny bit of stevia or honey for tea. Real maple syrup is also good for oatmeal!

What about agave? It's not calorie free, but its low GI! I also use honey and stevia to sweeten - although for some things the fake sugars still work for me, I just try not to over indulge.

I love your User name!!!

I have heard a lot of good things about Stevia, but I am not a fan. I think it is bitter. Give it a try though, because you may like it

Congrats on joining Spark! I think your best bet is to slowly cut down on the amount of sweetness you add to your coffee/tea until you're not adding any. Honey or real stevia (check the ingredients) are your best sweetening choices until then.

I joined SP 1 month ago today emoticon and wish I had joined sooner! My goal this month is to cut back on my sugar intake. I am focusing on eliminating the color white...white bread, potatoes, rice, etc. I would love to hear any suggestions on natural sweeteners to add to my morning coffee/afternoon tea. I prefer to stay away from artificial sweeteners like Splenda or Aspartame. I have tried Organic Coconut Palm Sugar and Stevia...thoughts on these??? emoticon
