you enter the total amounts for the whole recipe. if you look to the right of where you enter the ingredients you will see where you enter how many servings it makes. that way all the math gets done for you.
if you have a can of beans and it isn't in the tracker, you just manually enter it as a food, then pull it from your favorites to enter it into the recipe. and if you have a can of beans that has six servings in it, you would enter the information as it appears on the label when you manually enter it in as a food. but when you add the ingredient to your recipe, you enter six, since that is how many servings were in the whole can.
