The closer to your goal weight, the slower the loss. It's frustrating, but it's true. 1/2 a pound a week seems reasonable if you only have 16 pounds to go, especially if you're already considered a healthy weight.

I am 5'4".

snowjester - I created my own goal date based upon a projected 1 1/2 lb loss per week, and that's the goal I'm unsure of. I only have 16 lbs to lose, so I guess I should have known that I wouldn't be able to lose it that fast.

So half a pound per week isn't too slow for someone who has 16 lbs to lose? Boy. I guess my new goal date is late August, then. emoticon Color me deflated. emoticon

If you click weight under my tackers, there's a "see reports" button. It shows you a chart that has two lines. One line shows where you should be if you're going to make your goal by the date you put in. The other line shows where you actually are. I use that to see if I'm on track.

Figure about one percent of your body weight per week until you're within about 30 or 40 lbs of your goal, at which point it should be about half a percent. So if you weigh 150, about 1.5 lbs per week unless you are over about 5'4" tall in which case you would be looking more like .75lbs per week.
Eta if you only have 16 lbs to lose, just under half a pound a week is entirely in line with where you should be.

I've lost about 5 lbs so far and need to lose 16 more. What kind of a loss should I be looking for each week? The last time I was on SP, I had much more to lose and so I was losing about 2 lbs per week. This time around, I'm lucky if I see .4 per week. I'm not sure how to tell if I'm on track or if I need to make adjustments.
