I recently read that brown rice contains naturally occuring arsenic. I eat brown rice almost every day. Should I be concerned?
In the article it made it sound like brown rice sugar, often used in protein bars, has more concentrated arsenic. I can substitute homemade trail mix (cereal, unsalted nuts, raisins) for protein bars. Would that be nutritionally better? Probably depends on the cereal. I usually use regular Cheerios, corn flakes, or Special K. Would be open to other kinds of cereals. Or other recipes.
