Better to eat real food.
I am always amazed to see people drinking calories, after years of hearing " don't drink your calories ".
Shakes and smoothies are just real food that you liquefied so that you body turns it into glucose faster. Now your body is awash in glucose, which the body can only use a little bit at a time. Don't worry though, your body has Insulin, which will store it as body fat.
Real, solid food digests slower, letting the body use it, instead of storing it.
