I did not say is was not relevant to your health and weight loss.
I said that this site is not the right forum to seek help.
Talk to your doctor, or get a second opinion from another physician.

It is very relevant, actually. Mistreatment affects a person's health and a person's health affects their ability to maintain a healthy weight.

This is a site for weight loss, and overall healthy eating and fitness.

There is no way that a member can comment on your particular medical situation. It would not be appropriate, safe or ethical.

Yes, a mis-diagnosis does occur. If you are questioning your medical care talk in greater detail with your doctor or get a second opinion from another physician.

misdiagnosis and malpractice are two very different things.
doctors are human, and they make mistakes; not every (or even most) mistakes are malpractice.
Can't really comment on the rest of it as you're being very general. Will lacking something cause you to feel less healthy? yes. Does that mean that whatever the doc said was wrong with you was untrue? no.
Also, did you tell him/her you were exercising/trying to lose weight and what you were eating? Nutritional needs go up with exercise, and cutting calories may give you nutritional deficits if you are simply cutting calories without watching what you eat. Your doctor won't know unless you mention it.
Sidenote;
Most fitness vids tell you to take a multivitamin, anyway (at least all the beachbody ones I've done).

Misdiagnosis is actually fairly common but it's not typically considered malpractice unless the misdiagnosis occurs under some fairly specific circumstances and is the proximate cause of injury to a patient. In short, doctors don't always have to be right, they just have to be duly diligent and meet the standard of care that is the expected norm amongst their peers (other doctors in their same area).

The best thing to do if you think that your doctor has misdiagnosed you is to get a second opinion from a different doctor who doesn't work with your current doctor.

Has anyone here experienced these things? I am almost afraid that my doctor's have misdiagnosed me. I started supplementing my diet with nutrition gummies and I feel more focused and healthier than ever. My doctor never mentioned them and I'm afraid that my symptoms weren't what they said but really were signs of malnutrition. What do you all think about this topic? Any comments? emoticon
