Its kind of hard to judge without seeing your mixture. I make veggie burgers all the time. I make different types, but I usually don't put breadcrumbs in mine, but will "dip" the burger in panko breadcrumbs and spray with oil oil spray before I put in oven to get the outside crispy. I don't put eggs or broth in mine. The beans tend to hold everything together.
I typically use:
1 can beans (I've used black, white, gabanzo)
3/4 cup cooked quinoa
3/4 cup chopped steamed broccoli & carrots
diced onion and garlic
If I have enough calories left in the day and want a treat, I will fry in a little olive oil to get a nice crust on it.
