It's not fat. Keep telling yourself that. A 2 lb gain sucks, but it's not permanent, and if you watch your sodium for the rest of the week, it'll taper off. Have faith... it will keep going! Lesson learned this time. :)

Well, my weight is up almost 2 pounds this morning because of that seasoning. I'm bummed. . emoticon

Perhaps, but it's not worth trying to calculate. There's no way for you to determine what is left behind, so count it all to be safe. That way, you have a little room for error anyway. :) Especially the sodium; there's a good chance most of the sodium would be absorbed by the food.

Today we had steamed shrimp with Old Bay Seasoning. The calorie count of the seasoning is not high, but the sodium is. How do you calculate the sodium content of the water when something is boiled or steamed? Certainly some of the spice remains in the water.
