As for your range not changing when you increase fitness goals, that's because you're on the lowest range possible. It might require a significant change in fitness to move off that.
Eg if your maths works out at 1,000 calories a day to lose the weight you want, the site will put you on 1200+, as that's the minimum. Increase fitness by 1400 like you did and that's 200/day, so ... 1200. The minumum. No change.
This usually happens when the goal date is unrealistically close. While we can set a 2lb/week loss rate, that's not achievable for all body sizes.
