You burn calories through activity. You don't get negative calories for skipping meals. However, be cautious when skipping meals. Think of your body like a furnace; to keep the fires stoked, you have to keep giving them fuel. If you skip meals in an attempt to save calories, you are depriving your body of necessary fuel to keep you going.
