Mmmm I love egg nog! I'll never buy it anymore at the risk of drinking the entire carton, but on Christmas Eve I usually allow myself a small glass (with some brandy of course!) after dinner while we open presents. Some traditions should just NOT be messed with! emoticon

I just had a suprise moment of my own. I just found out that the pecan pie recipe we used has about 650 calories per serving yikes! Good thing it's a once a year treat in our house.

I'm glad I'm not crazy about eggnog - that way I can save my calories for fudge and cookies! emoticon

I love eggnog too. There are some tempting looking recipes for slimmed-down eggnog in Spark Recipes. Some of them come highly recommended, though I haven't tried any yet.

Sad, isn't it?
I love egg nog and used to buy it every Christmas, but I haven't in years beacuse I just don't want to "spend" that many calories on a small glass of egg nog.

I would like to try the almond egg nog though!

I decided to look at egg nog today...surprise...343 calories in 1 CUP of egg nog. I could normally down a large glass...then another...without even thinking about it. Light is not much better. Almond egg nog is not that bad in taste and calories at only 100 calories...that I can do! lol

Anyone have homemade "Bailey's" recipe using soy milk or almond milk?
