Psyllium fiber not only helps lower cholesterol but is a natural source of soluble fiber where as the psyllium forms a gel, & will then act like a sponge to absorb toxins in the digestive tract.
Yes, it can help many GI problems as it is good for both constipation & diarrhea.

Another good cereal to try is Kashi 7 whole grain puffs (organic section $2.89 per box and eat with skim milk and berries to sweeten. It has no sodium, no sugar and 1 gram of fiber...I find it easy on the tummy.

These are both high fiber cereals with added fiber. I am not sure "what" GI issues you are referring too. The type problem would determine if this is an appropriate cereal or not.

IBS, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, constipation---all have different needs.

I bought some all bran buds cereal which states it has psyllium fiber which I noticed fiber one does not have. My stomach does not like fiber one cereal so am trying the bran buds but was wondering more about psyllium fiber is that supposed to help more for gi issues?
