Thanks. Wow, I can see that you already lost weight. Great! It's hard to let go of the unhealthy snacks and it doesn't make it any easier when I have kids and they enjoy these snacks. I have to be strong and pretend they are not there. lol Thanks for the ideas i put them all on the list of things to get.

Good luck!

I enjoy a couple of tablespoons of sunflower seeds. They are salted. But it takes my craving away. Before going gluten-free and beginning my weight loss journey I would eat a whole bag of potatochips, or cheezies, or a whole large dark chocolate bar with almonds. I don't miss those things but am enjoying my 5 pound weight loss. It's a start on a 30 pound total. Hope I get there!

If you are able to LIMIT yourself . . get a large bag of Kettle Popcorn and only take enough to measure out 100 calories. This is a great sweet tooth satisfier . . . as long as you can stop there.

The only place you find success before work is in the dictionary.

Fruit and nuts, or nut butter, (walnuts, pumpkin seeds, PB and almond butter are my favorites). Coconut milk... by itself is just goooood. A boiled egg or two (I like mine with ketchup)... a wedge of cheese and fruit. Greek yogurt and crackers.

GRACE. BEAUTY. LAUGHTER. REST. COMPASSION. GOOD FOOD.

I love to cook and bake. I have compiled hundreds of recipes on Pinterest: Crowd pleasers: Traditional & Lightened versions of timeless favorites, as well as: gluten free, vegan, Paleo & Grain-Free... and a ton of Scones and desserts.

I love apples and peanut butter: natural sugars, healthy fats and protein, and it's easy to eat.

I don't know what you're fat limit is daily, but just watch the fat in any nuts. Even though it is "good" fat, you still have to count it in with the daily intake. And with nuts being so easy to munch on, I know from experience how simple it is to keep eating them without counting and before you know it you've ate 13 grams of total fat just in nuts! Ha! Almonds are very good for you though-in moderation. Other items might include:
fat free popcorn; apples w/ fat free caramel or yogurt dip; carrots; chex mix (measure it out for the right serving size); broccoli with dip; protein shake (my favorite choice)

I always have a difficult time with snacks too...I tend to want to munch constantly!

Plain Greek yogurt with a little sugar or Truvia stirred in plus fresh fruit of your choice. If you like savory, try some garlic hummus with veggies. You are sure to get lots of ideas. Good luck.

Getting in shape for my trip to Alaska...and also for the rest of my life.
