If you want to use the sparkpeople percentages for your 1200-1400 calorie range; it would be:
Protein: 60-123 grams
Carbohydrates: 135-228 grams
Fat: 27-54 grams

Hope this helps

Well, I did more reading and found the ranges for the other nutrients. I manually set them. Thanks for the information.

can i ask why you think you need a calorie range so much lower than what spark spit out for you?
because my cals are 1,440 - 1,790, carbs are 162 - 291, fat is 32 - 70, and protein is 60 - 157. which means spark spit out a range of somewhere around 1600-1950 for you.
so if you want to eat in that range, you're going to have to go in and manually edit every macro to get it into that 1200-1400 range. [right now if you hit all your minimums you'll be at 1590] and if you change anything, you're going to have to go back and manually change everything again.

-google first. ask questions later.

The fat and carbs seem a little high for that calorie amount, but the rest looks OK. But perhaps one of the SP folks can chime in on this one.

For example, my given range is 1490-1840, and my fat range is 33-72 and my carbs are 168-299. Also my protein is 60-161.

Working on maintaining at 140!

If you change your calorie range; the sparkpeople program does not automatically adjust your ranges for protein, fat and carbohydrates. You must do this manually as well.

Regarding the sodium---this is a consistent amount for all healthy adults; it is not based on calorie intake---therefore is does not change either, unless you do so manually.

As far as I know, yes. What ranges did they give you for the nutrients?

If that is te range spark spit out for you, it is already adjusted. If you entered 1200-1550 manually, the you have to enter everything else manually as well.

-google first. ask questions later.

If you adjust your total calorie count, will your other nutrients automatically recalculate (Fats, Protein, Sodium, etc)? Some of mine look high for a 1,200 - 1,500 range. I just want to make sure that I'm striving for the correct goals everyday.
